Wang Zijian is a PhD candidate at the School of Journalism and Communication, Liaoning University. His research focuses on transnational cinema, film festival studies, and media archaeology. He is responsible for the daily operations of the Northeast Asia Audiovisual Arts Research and Innovation Center under the Chinese Collegial Association for Visual Art. He also serves as the programmer for the screening and forum sections of the Shenyang Youth Film Festival, and has participated in the selection process for the official competition of the Beijing International Film Festival.
