Wang Songke born in 1994 in Huadian, Jilin Province, China, graduated from Northeast Normal University. He holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies and a Ph.D. in Art Theory from Beijing Film Academy. As a young scholar, he is primarily engaged in research on image theory and cultural studies, programming, and fIlmmaking. His debut feature film, Dream Visit In Winter, was selected for the Main Competition of the 19th FIRST International Film Festival and screened in the exhibition section of the 7th Hainan Island International Film Festival. He co-founded the online screening collective “Guerrilla Collective” and curated programs such as “Tropical Disarray: Thai Auteur Cinema Exhibition.” He has also served in various roles, including film selection and jury duties, at festivals such as the Chinese Youth Film Week, Beijing International Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, and the FIRST International Film Festival. Currently, he is conducting research for a documentary project focused on Northeast China.
